About Chaukhamba

A grandeur peak of the mighty Himalayas, it signifies strength, protection and unshakable ambition. Chaukhamba, meaning the four pillars, is an all India NGO registered under the Societies Registration Act XXI of 1860.

Organisation objective

Chaukhamba's focus and entry point is the school child, while the unit of development is the family and the wider community. Through this approach the organisation works toward empowerment, capacity building, and social transformation with added emphasis on girls, rural children, and children with disabilities.
