Late Manglesh Dabral was a founder member of Chaukhamba and a former chairman of the organisation. He was also widely respected as a major Hindi poet, journalist, editor, and public intellectual from Tehri Garhwal.

Mr. Alok Dangwal
From Akhori in Tehri Garhwal, Alok Dangwal holds a master's degree in Physics from HNB Garhwal University and has more than 15 years of experience in the voluntary sector. The live site credits him with pioneering the formation of Chaukhamba in 2005.
